The Photographer

I happen to have a few loves in my life:  my wife, my son and my camera.  In no particular order.

I hold a Masters degree in Architecture.  More than anything else, it gave me chronic “cannot go to sleep until at least 1am” syndrome.

I love the Colorado outdoors.  You might find me on my road bike, hiking in the mountains or camping with my family.  I used to rock climb every day, but college life was a long time ago.

I don’t drink coffee.  It’s still a mystery how I made it this long without it (over-sugarized carmel frappuccinos don’t count)

Thursday night = The Office.

I’m a computer junkie.  No name brands here, just custom built.

You are what you eat.  I am Chipotle.

The greatest sound in the world is hearing my son laugh hysterically.

These are only a few things that can help you get to know me.  Most importantly, I want to get to know things like this about you.  I would also love to hear about the things that are important to you and how I can capture your most treasured memories.  I look forward to hearing from you.

REUBEN + AMANDA | ENGAGED

11-08-09_Vyn-011I first met Reuben when he was biking across the county in the Sea to Sea tour with my father-in-law.  Their last stop before heading into Denver was at the Snow Mountain Ranch near Winter Park.  I joined up with the group to photograph them for the 90+ mile day heading up and over Berthoud Pass.  Reuben, being one of the best riders in the tour, split off with a small group to also include  going up Squaw Pass and then the top of Mount Evans totalling over 140 miles and topping out over 14,200′.  I was certainly impressed by him to say the least.  It was only about 6 months later that Reuben and his fiance, Amanda, moved to Denver and I got to know what an awesome couple they are.  When they wanted to do their engagement shoot, they just wanted to make sure it looked like they were immersed in the Colorado mountains.  Appropriately, we decided to head up to Evergreen Lake and then Squaw Pass to have some fun.  They certainly toughed out the freezing cold and put up with us crazy photographers just having fun with some off-camera lighting after the sun went down!  Hope you guys can enjoy these with your family in Canada.

Happy Thanksgiving!
