The Photographer

I happen to have a few loves in my life:  my wife, my son and my camera.  In no particular order.

I hold a Masters degree in Architecture.  More than anything else, it gave me chronic “cannot go to sleep until at least 1am” syndrome.

I love the Colorado outdoors.  You might find me on my road bike, hiking in the mountains or camping with my family.  I used to rock climb every day, but college life was a long time ago.

I don’t drink coffee.  It’s still a mystery how I made it this long without it (over-sugarized carmel frappuccinos don’t count)

Thursday night = The Office.

I’m a computer junkie.  No name brands here, just custom built.

You are what you eat.  I am Chipotle.

The greatest sound in the world is hearing my son laugh hysterically.

These are only a few things that can help you get to know me.  Most importantly, I want to get to know things like this about you.  I would also love to hear about the things that are important to you and how I can capture your most treasured memories.  I look forward to hearing from you.

MHP | Trash The Dress

After a lot of peer pressure, I have finally given in to the fact that I need blog!  Welcome and enjoy.

To kick things off, last week I attended a Trash The Dress workshop by Mile High Photogaphers.  The group has a couple hundred members and at least 50 of us attend a monthly meeting on all sorts of photography business related topics.  This workshop is the first one that I have been a part of with this amazing group.  We had three talented instructors, Jared Wilson, RJ Kern and James Christianson, as well as 4 models.  The location was just outside of Central City in Russell Gulch Ghost Town which ended up being a breathtaking spot full of run down buildings that make photographers like us just drool!  It’s always humbling when so many photographers can get together for sake of learning and truly enjoy each others company when we’re all each others competition.  What an amazing event!
